Who do I think I am?
Who do I think I am?

Self-doubt can be like a cold that won’t go away, or a bout of seasonal allergies that can last much longer than just allergy season. Whereas cold or allergy symptoms can be seen or heard, self-doubt is internalized, and can get you down much worse. Having self-doubt can bleed into Imposter syndrome.

Mel Robbins said on a recent podcast that “you only experience Imposter syndrome in the situations that you really care about.” So true. Starting a new business, I ask myself “Am I qualified?”, “Don’t people already know this stuff?” “What is it that I’m contributing anyways?” I’m not an imposter, I’m a learner. I’ve started Take Flyt as a learner and as a connector. I’m not an expert, but rather someone looking to spark the Take Flyt conversation. I selfishly want to learn about how to start a business. How to start a podcast. How to ask tough personal questions. How to build a community. How to start an apparel company. So much to learn. I’m on my own timeline. I also want to help others. I want to help others share their stories. I want to help others reflect. I want to connect people. I want to witness people discover Take Flyt moments in their life.

A few questions to think about and reflect on…Why do we feel this lack of confidence? Why is it much harder to remove doubt than it is to harness belief?
